Firmly Planted Family began in 2000 under the name First Class Homeschool Ministries and operated primarily is a ministry to homeschooling families. First Class helped over 80 homeschool co-ops begin in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

In early 2013, the ministry changed it's name to Firmly Planted following God's lead into a broader, family-focused ministry that helps parents make the study of God's Word part of their everyday lives.

Firmly Planted Family publishes the Firmly Planted™ Bible studies for families, organizes retreats for moms and couples, and hosts Strong Roots™ conferences across the United States.

Firmly Planted Family is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

In Psalm 1:3, David says, "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord; he is like a tree firmly planted by streams of water who yields its fruit in due season and whose leave does not wither. Whatever he does prospers."

As parents, this is our heart’s desire: that our families would be firmly planted in the fertile soil of God’s Word, and that as families, we would become students of the Bible. We are told in Timothy that the Bible should be our primary reference tool for life—that “All Scripture is God- breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16- 17 NIV).

While our children are in our care, we have an opportunity to shape their hearts and minds for the Lord. We have an opportunity to teach our children to be amazed by God’s creativity as evidenced through His creation. We also have the chance to walk with God in a way that allows our children to grow right along with us.

Our Bible studies have been designed to help parents with this kind of “growing.” We have written Firmly Planted with the whole family in mind. The goal is to get families in the Word together! As you begin Firmly Planted, you will notice that each lesson features activities and questions for every age group. The workbook includes coloring pages for little ones, puzzles that reinforce Biblical truths and more thought provoking questions for older students.
